We had a ‘nice problem to have’ a few weeks ago. Supply of space and furniture in our Children’s Corner had become insufficient to meet demand. Through the efforts and generous giving of time by some of our PCC, we now have a greatly improved area — thank you from us all!
In Matthew 21:15–16, children, who adored Jesus as he loved them, were shouting his praise in the temple courts with “Hosanna to the Son of David!” The religious leaders weren’t at all happy and said to Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” Jesus replied by asking them if perhaps they’d forgotten Psalm 8 verse 2:
“From the lips of children and infants
you, Lord, have called forth your praise?”
Our God is so glorious that he doesn’t need the praise of the high and mighty in society to declare his worth. No, Jesus thinks the children can do it better!
