Round-up of news from our Diocese

The Rev Daniel Whiffin

Help us find a new Bishop

Our Bishop James Langstaff is retiring next month and the long process to find the next Bishop of Rochester has begun.  Members of all churches across our Diocese are invited to help identify the qualities needed in the next Bishop and the issues and concerns that should be their top priority.  If you would like to participate then please visit https://rochester.anglican.org/diocese/help-us-find-a-new-bishop/ for full details.

Friends of Rochester Cathedral

The Association of Friends of Rochester Cathedral is looking for a new lay (ie non-clergy) representative from Bromley or Bexley.  The Association meets five times per year and representatives serve for a three-year term.  Please contact the church office for details.

Last chance to stand for Diocesan Synod

This week is your last opportunity to stand for election to Rochester Diocesan Synod, the church body which formulates policy for our Diocese on a wide range of issues.  Any communicant member of the Church of England aged 16 or over and on the Electoral Roll of a parish in the Diocese is eligible to stand and the deadline for nominations is Wednesday 16th June.  Details at https://rochester.anglican.org/diocese/diocesansynod/
