The season of Lent has traditionally been a period of reflection and meditation to help us prepare for the joy of Easter.
On Tuesdays in Lent this year (11th March to 8th April) the Churches Together in Central Bromley will be meeting live at St Peter and St Paul (Church Road Bromley BR2 0EG) for our Lent Course.
This year’s course is called ‘Rooted in Grace’ and is a series of reflections on the women in Jesus’ family tree – Sarah, Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary. These women came from a wide range of different backgrounds, cultures and experiences, but all were used by God in shaping the family into which Jesus would ultimately be born. In these evening sessions we will consider these women’s stories and see how even the unlikeliest people can fulfil God’s purposes.
