A Service of Baptism and Confirmation hosted by St John’s.
We look forward to welcoming the Rt Revd Dr Jonathan Gibbs, the Bishop of Rochester, as our special guest. We also hope to be joined by members of other local churches.
Many members of St John’s were baptised as children and may now wish to declare publicly for themselves the faith in which they were brought up. Others have been baptised as adults, and see confirmation as an opportunity to take things a stage further. Those who are confirmed have the opportunity to participate fully in services of Holy Communion by receiving the bread and wine, and are also eligible to serve as officers of the church such as Church Wardens and Church Council members.
