We warmly welcome children and families to all our main services, and we also have some events designed especially for them.
Here is an overview of our programme of regular events for children and families. Click on each section for more information.
One Sunday each month we have our Family Communion service with music led by the band and an all-age talk rather than our usual sermon. Refreshments for adults and children are served afterwards. There is no Sunday School during Family Communion as children and adults stay together for the whole service.
AllStars is the St John's Sunday School, catering for children aged 3 to 11. We meet in the hall during the Sunday 10am service (except Family Service) and have songs, games, prayers and a Bible story. It's a fun way for us to learn more about God and the wonderful ways he helps us in our everyday lives. Under 3s can be looked after in our Creche.
Our informal afternoon service, featuring songs, games, craft and a Bible story, followed by a bring and share high tea for everyone.
Every February in half-term we run a children's Holiday Club. It is very popular and open to all children of primary school age, with older children serving as Junior Leaders.
Young people aged between 11 and 16 are invited to join our Pathfinders group, which meets every fortnight for fun and Bible discussion.
Plenty of toys, books, good company, storytime, songs and free coffee and cake make Heroes a great time for children and parents alike! Why not come and join us? Saturdays monthly.
